Simplicity is the final achievement.
— Frédéric Chopin

Reggie has lived in Louisville, Kentucky all his life. The pianist at his church taught him how to play piano in 2010. Before then, he never cared about a piano…AT ALL. Reggie wanted to play guitar, lead! After a short period of trying the Fender Strats, he quickly realized that it was not going to work out. He was on a desperate search for a way to…at least, have SOMETHING to do with music.

Reggie’s background is not one of high musical education, and classical training! His unique playing has been compared to none; reason being, due to Reggie not ever having formal training in music, there was never just one single foundational genre, artist, composer, nor style he adapted to. Reggie’s playing style is a mix between the classical world’s beautiful elegant touch on the keys, with a sprinkle of gospel/jazz influenced licks; specifically there are smooth jazz/cocktail piano undertones Reggie gravitates too most often in his performances. Not to mention, his well timed/placed arpeggiated runs never get old when he is performing top 40 pop songs all the way to Frank Sinatra or Phantom of the opera; range is Reggie’s strong suit.

Strictly playing by ear has never held Reggie back. It can be difficult to tell whether he attended Juilliard or if he really did just blossom from. proper intimate informal lessons! How he got here does not mean anything to Reggie, he is grateful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that he can even bless people with music.

Once schedules became difficult for him and his teacher at the time, Reggie soon after took up ALL the training on his own , and he dug deep even with only being two years in to learning chords on piano! He pushed himself and still does til’ this day!
